About Sony WH-1000XM6

Sony WH-1000XM6 is a pair of over-ear wireless headphones for personal listening, calls and everyday travel. Active noise cancellation provides an alternative to raising the volume when background sound is distracting.

Fit and listening comfort

The over-ear design determines how the cushions sit around or against your ears. Fit is personal, so consider longer study sessions, commuting and whether you wear glasses. Sony’s QN3 processor works with a multi-microphone noise-cancelling system to adapt to your environment.

Calls and background noise

Noise cancellation reduces some surrounding sound but does not create complete silence. Use awareness features where supported when you need to hear announcements or traffic, and choose a sensible listening level. Microphone performance during calls still depends on wind, surrounding noise and the connected device.

Charging and device compatibility

Battery ratings depend on volume, call use and enabled features; noise cancellation changes runtime on models that support it. Check the model’s supported wired and wireless connections before choosing it for a console or a specialist work setup. A multi-device connection is not the same as mixing audio from two sources. Confirm the supplied charging cable and colour before ordering.
